On Saturday 1st July 2006 the girls from the company section and officers were privileged to take part in the parade and Service of Rememberance held at the Memorial Gardens in Randalstown to commemorate the 90th Anniversary of the Battle of the Somme. All who took part found the occasion very moving and meaningful.

The 2006/7 Session started on Thursday 14th September. As well as most of the familiar faces we were pleased to see many new girls joining the ranks, particularly the Tiny Tots and Explorer sections. Also, we were pleased to welcome a new Associate to the Company, Mrs. Helen Evans. Helen is working with the Senior Girls. Activites already started include Scripture classes for explorers, juniors, seniors and brigadiers, p.e. including dancing for the explorers and netball for the seniors and brigaders. We are very pleased to report that our 'A' team were runners up in the recent District Netball Competitions and our 'B' team also did themselves proud.

The enrolment service took place on the 24th September and was conducted by Rev. Angus Stewart. Good numbers of girls, families and friends turned up for the occasion which was inspiring for the officers and leaders.

As part of their badgework, our explorer section made 'potato men and women' which decorated one of the Church windows at the Harvest Services. All who saw it agreed that the girls did a good job, the window looked very festive and original. The senior brigader sections joined with the Church of Ireland in their afternoon Youth Harvest Serivce on 22nd Octover 2006 at Drummaul Parish Church.

Our Company Section attended the Rememberance Sunday parade and service in 2nd Randalstown on 12th November.

The Company would like to congratulate Claire Kyle on her recent engagement to Hugh McKay.

The officers and girls of Randalstown OC Girls' Brigade would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas.
