This year in Female Focus we have taken a slightly different approach than normal. We decided to look in some depth at various women in the Bible and discuss how their stories are relevant to our lives today. In October we examined the topic "God wants His women to be builders". We learnt, how as women, we are called to build up our homes, our children, our marriages, our churches and at the same time build up our personal faith and that of those around us.

In November we looked at the well-loved story of Mary and Martha and again discovered how we could relate to Jesus' teaching. There is so much of Martha in all of us, but we want strive to balance it with Mary, therefore devoting outselves to both work and worship. We need to be aware of the "sin of busyness" invading our lives nowadays and take more time to dwell in His presence.

December brought our now traditional "Christmas Craft and Carol" evening, which was a brilliant night of fun and fellowship. Thank-you to everyone who gave generously towards our collection for Worship Ireland.

In the New year, we will meet on Tuesday 16th January, when again we will continue our theme of "Women in the Bible". Tuesday 6th February will be our annual dinner. As yet the venue is undecided, but we will let everyone know as soon as possible. We extend a warm inivtation to all ladies, to all of our meetings. Our normal start time is 8.00 PM.
